First, identify the suspension type
There are two kinds. A soft suspension means you lose management access but the listing still shows publicly. A hard suspension means the listing is removed entirely. Check the GBP dashboard for the notice and note the exact wording, since it hints at the violation.
Common causes
- Address issues: using a virtual office, a PO box, or a home address you are not allowed to display.
- Keyword stuffing in the business name (adding "Best Cheap Plumber" when your real name is "Smith Plumbing").

Fix before you appeal
- Correct every violation first. Set your business name to exactly what appears on your signage and legal documents. Fix the address to match your real, eligible location. Align categories with your website.
